A hilly peninsula that juts into the San Francisco Bay with rolling hillsides, boat harbors and beautiful vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge, Richmond Bridge, Angel Island, Alcatraz Island all with a sweet, quaint downtown with the feel of a seaside village, yet with sophistication and classy bars, restaurants and shops. A local ferry service takes residents to San Francisco for work and visitors to Angel Island for play and adventure. Several yacht clubs, tennis/swim clubs, and boat facilities.
Tiburón means “shark” in Spanish. The name may have been inspired by the prevalence of locally native leopard sharks in the surrounding waters. Belvedere & Tiburon share the same post office. |
