At a Glance...The coastal towns still within Marin County are Stinson Beach, Muir Beach, Bolinas Beach and Point Reyes. Living in Marin County you have the luxury of taking a quick drive (an hour or less) to the Coast to soak up some sun and sand. Although the water is chilly, it does not stop people from surfing, boogie boarding, and splashing around. Each Coastal town offers something a little different. Stinson and Bolinas are more family friendly and popular choice for people wanting to relax at the beach. Point Reyes is the windiest place on the Pacific Coast and the second foggiest place on the North American continent. The historic Point Reyes Lighthouse has warned mariners for over a hundred years of the rocky cliffs since 1870.
